Common questions
The scroll won't roll
Press and hold the round crank at the bottom right of the scroll; it rolls only while your thumb is on it. In TEMPO mode it rolls at the BPM shown top left. In THUMB mode it starts slow: keep holding and drag up to speed up, down to slow down.
NEW SAMPLE isn't recording
The first press asks for microphone access. If you chose Don't Allow, open the Settings app → TINKR and turn Microphone on. Then hold NEW SAMPLE and make your sound; it records until you let go.
My scroll sounds too high or too low
Every sound has its own pitch, so some land higher than others. Open Settings → SCROLL and move Octave up or down. You can also change the notes across the top there: chromatic, major or pentatonic.
Where are my saved scrolls?
Tap the folder button, then Scrolls. Tap one to load it with its tempo, strum and sound. Tap the loaded one's name to rename it, or tap the trash and then CONFIRM to delete it.
How do I get a scroll into my DAW?
Tap EXPORT and pick WAV for the sound or MIDI for the notes, then Save to Files or Share (AirDrop works). To play your synths live, turn on Settings → MIDI → MIDI out and connect to your Mac over Wi-Fi.

Which devices does it run on?
iPhone and iPad running iOS or iPadOS 17 or later. On iPhone it plays in portrait; on iPad it works in any orientation.
